All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement that you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This agreement outlines specific terms, conditions, insurance information, fees, and your obligations related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the latter will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:
- To hire a vehicle from Car Hire in Sandwell, drivers must be at least 21 years old. Age restrictions may vary depending on the vehicle type, and additional fees may apply for those under 25. A valid full driving licence, identification, and proof of current address are required. Payment information and a security deposit must also be provided, along with any other conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Details
- Reservations can be completed via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Sandwell office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The total payment and security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle collection. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include applicable VAT. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- Upon collecting your vehicle, it is imperative to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage at that time. A vehicle condition report will be generated and must be signed by both parties. The vehicle should be returned in the same condition as it was received, factoring in standard wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and may result in additional charges. Ensure the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as when collected; refueling costs will apply if the fuel level is lower. Late returns may incur extra fees, so please notify us promptly if you expect a delay. You will be accountable for any parking tickets, traffic violations, or charges that arise during your rental, along with an associated administrative fee.
Insurance and Liability Details
- All rentals include basic third-party insurance. Details regarding coverage and excess amounts can be found in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to limit your financial responsibility. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You will be liable for damage or loss up to the insurance excess, except where additional insurance applies. Any damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For detailed information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or other risky maneuvers. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purpose, within passenger and weight limits, and must remain within the agreed geographical boundaries unless authorized otherwise.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire in Sandwell is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the total rental fee you paid in the past year. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
9. Applicable Law
These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be addressed exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to Terms
